Application

It is suitable for industries such as handmade luggage and material and is used for hard skin materials such as vegetable-tanned material with a width of less than 2.76 inches. It can be used to make "overlapping" peeling (conical peeling), cutting the straps into feather-like edges or long strips.

How to Replace the Blade

1. Remove the screws holding the blade to the machine and remove the blade with Allen key(not included).

2. Loosen the locking knob on the side of the machine until the depth adjustment lever moves freely.

3. Set the new blade on the machine with the edge facing the roller.

4. Install the blade retaining screws but do not tighten them all the way.

5. Move the blade until it is even on both sides of the machine and the edge is in the center of the roller.

6. Tighten the blade retainer screws down. If loose, the blade will move during the cutting process.

Installation Steps

1. Before using the paring peeling machine, make sure that it is securely fastened to your work surface.

2. To insert material into the machine, loosen the locking screw and pull the handle towards yourself.

3. To set the machine to skive a constant thickness use the adjustment screws on the top of the machine.

4. Once the material has been inserted into the machine, push the handle forward while pulling the material towards you.

5. When the blade has reached the desired depth, use the locking knob on the side of the machine to lock the roller in place.

6. Pull the material through until it is skived.

7. To skive a feathered edge, back the set screws up and pull the material through the machine while pushing the handle forward.
